Serious injury “cooled down” Manchester United’s interest in €70m Brazilian striker – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United have scaled back their signing efforts after Porto striker Evan Nilsson suffered a serious injury.

This summer, the 20-time British champion was mentioned among Evan Nilsson’s potential suitors.

It was widely speculated that United offered the player a €60m + €5m bonus, but Porto flatly rejected it.

According to Sports Witness, United had prepared a higher offer.

Correio da Manhã of SportWitness said:

“Porto turned down a €60m offer for him in the summer and the news said Manchester United were readying €70m.

“All interested clubs seem to have lost interest and Porto now fear this injury will stop them from making big moves next summer.

If true, United are unlikely to reconsider Evan Nilsson’s deal.

Eric ten Hag has his sights set on other targets now, but there remains a need for a world-class striker at Old Trafford.

Harry Kane, Victor Osimén and Benjamin Sesco are on the club’s transfer wish list.

All three of these strikers are better than Evanilson and can instantly upgrade Anthony Martial and Wout Wegort.

Kane is keen to sign a new deal with Tottenham as he nears the final year of his deal at the north London club. .

United understand that Osimmen’s surgery will not be easy and will cost the Nigerian enormously. His services also have competition from Real Madrid.
